John J_____2 Mayer (John Peter1) was born 20 November 1883 at Town of Belgium, Ozaukee
County, Wisconsin, the son of John Peter and Susanna (Schommer) Mayer. His birth is
recorded in Ozaukee County birth records, v 24, no. 6, filed 13 October 1942. He was
baptized that same day at Holy Cross, Town of Belgium. See the baptism records of the
church.
He died 1 May 1977, age 94, of uremia due to cardiovascular renal disease, at St. Nicholas
Hospital at Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. He was buried 4 May 1977 in St. Mary's
Cemetery at Port Washington, Ozaukee County. His death is recorded in Ozaukee County death
records, v 35, no. 197.
According to the death record, he was a retired construction worker and resided at Route
1, Belgium. The informant was Victor Mayer, 5125 North 70th Street, Milwaukee, Milwaukee
County, Wisconsin, 53218.
He married Rose Pousley 17 November 1909 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. Reverend M.
Oberlinkels presided. Witnesses were Peter Mayer of Town of Fredonia and Anna Pousley of
Town of Belgium. The marriage is recorded in the marriage register of the church. See also

She was born 11 June 1890 at Town of Belgium, the daughter of Johann Nicholas and Margaret

records. She died 18 January 1977, age 87, of acute monocytic leukemia, at St. Alphonsus
Hospital, Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. She was buried 22 January 1977 in
St. Mary's Cemetery there. Her death is recorded in Ozaukee County death records, v 35,
no. 75.
